Biography

David Picherit is a Research Fellow in Anthropology at CNRS, France. Based at Laboratoire d’Ethnologie et de Sociologie Comparative, University of Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, he has conducted extensive fieldwork in Andhra Pradesh, South India. His main research interests concern labour, migration and development, as well as everyday politics and violence, and vernacular democracy.
